I've been thinking a fair bit lately about His Excellency, Archbishop Vigano.
His name has been mentioned a fair bit over the last few weeks across social media and even offline.
It is my opinion that His Excellency wants what is best for the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
Archbishop Vigano, is a brother in Christ. Whether you are someone who agrees with him or not, you should pray for him.
I choose to stand by His Excellency, Archbishop Vigano, as a brother in Christ by way of prayer.
I've heard some say across social media including some known Catholic online personalities that if you support Archbishop Vigano, you'll go to hell.
In my opinion, I don't believe that at all. It's like saying If you pray, you go to hell. Isn't prayer supposed to be the weapon against evil?
While evil has infiltrated the Church, we still have God on our side. We need to do everything possible to rid of the evil that has infiltrated the Church.
I've seen some un Christ-like behavior from others when it comes to Archbishop Vigano or other clergy who are not afraid to speak truth.
We're called to love thy neighbor. We shouldn't turn our back on a brother in Christ.
I believe the fight against evil is one we must be prepared for. We need to arm ourselves with Sacramentals and pray hard.
I am reminded of Ephesians 6:11 (DRB) which says:
“Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil.”
As Catholics in these tumultuous times, Let's pray, receive the Sacraments, connect with like minded people, and do our best to be in a state of grace.
I believe it's important to stand by and support clergy who are not afraid to be bold and courageous when teaching the faith. The Catholic Faith shouldn't be watered down and modernized.
Earlier, I mentioned about how we must be prepared for the fight against evil. We can do this by receiving the Sacraments, praying hard, reading solid spiritual books, and of course, being in a state of grace.
We are all in the battle together. We must not give up or give in to evil.
