It is very important for one to consider the four last things: Death, Judgement, Heaven, and Hell.
Nothing against other titles which touch on the subject of death but I find Thomas à Kempis does a great job in waking people up to the reality that death is.
While reading Meditations on Death, I can see why it was chosen as TAN Books 2023 Book of the Year. I highly recommend this book.
Once you start reading, I believe you will not want to put this book down.
In closing, I’d like to draw your attention to a previous post on this blog titled Let Go. It is that post which Tim Hill, Publicity and Marketing Coordinator of TAN Books referred to when he said the following to me not long ago:
" What you wrote a few months ago in your blog about Letting Go, "Remember, we can't bring our materials with us when we die. Focus on the spiritual life, spend time with your family, and don't worry if you don't have the latest item. Letting go may be difficult but it helps restore peace in your life. When things happen, it must be God's will not ours. Let go and Let God!", sounds to me a lot like the 21st-century version of what Thomas à Kempis wrote more than 500 years ago. "
